Providing Structural Context to Fluorescence

Correlative light and electron microscopy

This method consists of combining light and electron microscopic data from a resin-embedded sample or cryosections.

While it doesn't provide the same level of precision for protein localization as immunolabeling with nanogold, it is very useful to visualize by EM rare events that can be identified by light microscopy.

We ask the users to provide the light microscopy data following specific recommendations.
